Winter

Winter finds us back in the greenhouses cutting mustard and lettuce (mesclun) greens and herbs and digging root crops in our greenhouses.  These consist of our new 7,500 square foot gutter connect house and our original 1,700 square foot hoop house, which started out as a 17 by 50 foot unheated house almost seven years ago.  We harvest mache, carrots, hakurei turnips, and cilantro from our two 2,500 square foot unheated A-frame greenhouses.  The winter staff includes our one year round employee whom we provide with health insurance and paid vacation days.
