News Update February 2007 Public Market House We were delighted this past September to be invited by K. Horton's Specialty Foods to provide our vegetables at the new Public Market House in Monument Square. Horton's, A Country Bouquet, Big Sky Bakery, and Maine Beverage opened shop in the newly renovated space previously held by the Surplus Store. The space is wonderfully unrecognizable from the old days, with its new enterprises. Stop in and pick up some vegetables, cheese, smoked salmon, olives, chocolate, flowers, bread, wine, beer, or Smiling Hill Farm milk, among other things.
New Greenhouses Online We just expanded our winter production by adding cooking oil burners to our two unheated greenhouses. We're looking forward to expanded production this spring and next winter.
New Barn The exterior shingling on our new barn was finished on those last warm days in January by our friend Phil Engle and his crew. It looks awesome, and it's very nice to put the past behind us and move forward with our new structure.
